Man, those are sweet guitars!
Makes ya wanna go learn a whole buncha funky diminished chords, or sumpthin'.
Oh, and drink Scotch in a smokey bar with a red headed girl named Brandy. Twisted Evil

I already know a bunch of diminished chords... and augmented ones; this makes me want to find a gypsy violin player and start honking on some Django!!

Brandy. Twisted Evil

Amen to that!!!

Ah ... but you need a Maccaferri to be true to the spirit of Django and a well groomed moustache.
Some good clips of the gypsy master and the Hot band on youtube.
Frankly. he played better with three fingers than most do with five.

True.. and I haven't worn a moustache since I was 20!! Boy, he was a cool looking dude, eh!

No argument here!!

OK, makes me want start honking on some Tal Farlow or Kenny Burrell?! That better, Steve?

edit: Had a look for video and there wasn't much; loads of audio with
photo backdrops but very little actual film footage... am I missing something? (always possible as I don't use pootube very much at all!!)

No problem with that, John ... relax and enjoy the cool vibe of the 30's, 40's and 50's.
Now where is my Stan Getz " Moonlight in Vermont " LP (with Johnny Smith ) ?
