Post by Annoying Twit on Thu Jul 01, 2010 4:51 pm

Gosh, I didn't know Westone Guitars went this far back. Is this a real Westone?

Yes, it's a real westone, just not a Mats one. At least two companies made instruments with the name Westone before Matsumoku got the rights to the name. There's a similar (Almost identical) one here

I recognise the build of these guitars to be Tiesco's. I recognise the switches, the general shape, the machine heads etc. It just has the name Westone but its definitely made by the same company as Tiesco. As I mentioned in a different discussion, I have a customised Tiesco and when it was in its original form it had stuff on it that these two guitars have. Too much of a coincidence on too many parts for me to be wrong (I think).

Martin.
