I'm putting one under the tree for my niece ... It's a Lyon (washburn's answer to squire) guitar that a friends Dad found in the gutter one day. I cleaned it up, tightened some loose nuts, shimmed the neck, and put new strings on and it's in decent shape ... plays like a $100 guitar I suppose (IOW, a couple of low frets), but let's see if she really commits to it first,'eh? Was able to score a used Squire practice amp for her as well.

When I saw 2 awesome new westone listings (concord 111 and thunder 1a) outta Laurel Springs NJ, I figured you were trying to plant some suggestions and create demand. Don't know much about NJ geography. Is Laurel Springs near the Channel Islands?

BTW, if Santa happens to read this, I'd be happy with either of those. Very Happy

No worries about the geography, seems a lot of people assume Jersey to be New Jersey. Including members who were around when he was in the process of moving! Laughing

Speaking of geography ...

I noticed that your location was Gainsville, FL. I started wondering if you were a LTJ fan, and figured that was probably just another silly assumption. Then I looked at your profile and you are indeed a LTJ fan ... I was at a LTJ show in Gainsville, FL a few years back.

Feb 13th 2009 according to the date on the pic. Were you at that show?

Actually guys, you're all wrong.

Jersey is not in, or part of the UK at all. Like the Isle of Man, Jersey is a Crown possession and has its own identity and rules and laws. It is not even part of the EU.

However, we limeys are responsible for its defence in times of war.

So there we have it. 3m you are some what redeemed.

Your Christmas Quiz on the US starts here.
1. Who is America named after?
2. How many States are there in the USA?
3. What did Buffalo Bill do to Buffalo's?

Happy Xmas, Steve

I was indeed at that show! Not that you can tell, but I was up front against the barricade. I almost never miss them, will be seeing them next month in Jacksonville. It will be my 37th LTJ show. Yep, I must be a big fan, haha. Very Happy

1- Amerigo Vespucci (sp?) - a vain cartographer
2- 50 ... unless your being tricky and you're using a different usage of state
3- Well, that wouldn't be proper to say in mixed company ...

didn't even use google Cool

cool! small world Very Happy
my wife just saw them a week or two ago as they passed through Chicago touring with some kind of roller derby thing. It was kind of a snowy night, so only like 50 people or so stuck around for LTJ's last set ... which meant my wife had a ton of time to chat 'em up and get autographs afterwards. Cool

Small world indeed! I like that picture there, has a backdrop I haven't seen yet and features my all-time favorite bassist/vocalist! Can't believe the lines he plays while still managing to sing. Hope I can do it half as well some day! Very Happy

They're super nice guys as well, I've had the good fortune to hang out and talk with them before and after several shows. I take it your wife agrees. Smile
