Yeah - Go for it! The days of sub £100 Westones are fast disappearing and the colour would look great with your lip gloss.

A very little cash, you'll notice!! Laughing Laughing Yeah, £100 delivered... hopefully with the headstock still attached; they have a fairish tiltback!!

Yes yes; I know it's Korean, and that it's probably ply but given that a Bendmaster Deluxe sold for US$71 last week, I think that's OK and who else in here has one?! Cool Laughing

Nicely done John!
Even a traveling man deserves a pointy headed guitar, and as you say, worst case condition, the bridge is probably worth the price of admission.
Hey it may turn out to be a killer little axe,eh?

So, what's the deal, is it plum in colour or just lousy photography making the red look weird?

Defo weird red; there's only 3 colours listed in the cats; black, white and red!! I've gotta say, I sort of hope that the red has faded into that odd lip gloss shade, eh!! Laughing

Well, gang, it's here - in one piece!! - and to be honest, I'm quietly impressed with it! It has 2 mini switches under the knobs which turn the pickups on/off or in the h/b's case s/c - off - h/b. Quiet electronics and a wide-ish, flat oiled neck make it very pleasant to handle.... Very good condition and while the stringlock is missing it's washers, shims and bolts, the vendor did include a lock that he was going to put on it, possibly a FR one; I'm not sure. I shall get some bits from Thorn when he opens on the 12th and make some shims and we're in business!!

Oh, and a slightly heavier set of strings...

More anon when I have stripped it down to it's component parts and cleaned, oiled and generally tarted the old girl up; it's a keeper, I think! Laughing

OK; stripped out and the neck pocket has 3012 in felt pen in it, and the headstock has Clipper series written on it; now the Clipper has a model 3012 which is the same set up as this one, but this is definitely the Spectrum II body.... curiouser and curiouser...

lovely deep red colour and the body wood is solid, not ply...

I can't wait to see it all done up! You will post pics, right?

Ya know, you guys are making me want to "collect" guitars now. Especially after finally being able to play my Westie and experiencing it first hand. My Wife does not approve, makes her nervous affraid

Nope; thought I'd keep it to myself.... Laughing Though there's not a lot of "doing up" to be done; it's in very good nick and only needs a bloody good clean!!
