2 on ebay US right now

$400 : http://cgi.ebay.com/Westone-Rail-Headless-Bass-1985-Wht-/160539211070?pt=Guitar&hash=item2560e1f53e

$200 : http://cgi.ebay.com/CHERRY-RED-WESTONE-THE-RAIL-BASS-GUITAR-/130482495371?pt=Guitar&hash=item1e615cdf8b

Most Rails I've seen on ebay have been in the 400 plus range so the 200 one seems like a deal.

2 on the UK site as well

£695 ono

£550ono

Too expensive

The US$200 one, How much do they cost to import on average?

That $200 Rail needs the slide screw replaced, hence the lower price.

I've gotten quotes ranging from 50 to 65 pounds for shipping from UK to US. Not sure if it's the same in the other direction. Hope that helps.

I was watching the pantera with interest, but unfortunately freight costs makes most UK and USA guitars just too expensive by the time they land in Aus. I only picked up the rainbow last week from Ebay Aus for $550 so that has blown my GAS budget for a while. There is also a Spectrum DX and Thunder 1 on Aus ebay at the moment so trying to control myself

We came through no problems at all as we are in a higher suburb, I have to admit though that the westones were being prepped to go in the ceiling space if the lake near us started to back up. A whole shopping centre not far from me went under with water over the roof of the building, take them 6 months to get going again they say. I had never seen anything like this since I ve been in Brisbane and hope not to see it again. Plenty have lost everything though and compound that with some scumbag insurance companies arguing technicalities over flash flood versus tidal flow to get out of paying Evil or Very Mad

Ahhh.. you got it - good for you!! I emailed Don in Roma who is also looking but he was obviously a bit late on that one!! He's got more guitars than you can shake a stick at anyway...!! Laughing

Miserable bastards!! String 'em all up by the knackers...!! I hate insurance companies!! Evil or Very Mad One or two very bad experiences...

There is also a Spectrum DX on Aus ebay at the moment

... very good guitars, I've got to say!! If it's cheap enough, you know you're gonna... Laughing

public pressure is the only thing to change them -Suncorp copped heaps after the Innisfail floods a few years ago - this time they say no questions asked (must of hurt them)

... very good guitars, I've got to say!! If it's cheap enough, you know you're gonna... :lol

I showed it to a mate at work looking for a guitar who wants to bid so have to sit this one out Smile

.. I was; we've moved on from there now to the Channel Islands! Very Happy

m surprised how many come up on trade me.

I'm not; I got some real bargains off there; in fact I don't think I paid more than NZ$200 for any of my Matts until we moved to Aussie briefly and I bought Don's Invader.

I can't get on TM anymore; it's restricted to Aus/NZ but I still have family and friends there, eh!! Laughing

I'm told now it may be delivered tomorrow Very Happy

To get back to the subject, I would really like a brown burst Session II to keep my blond one company, when was the last one seen for sale?
Mind, Westbone wants one to go with his Blond sweetheart, could be a problem there. Twisted Evil

Yes indeed I was lucky enough to get that beauty. It is in storage at my old home as I remodel my new home and my "All things Matsumoku" loft. I believe I got it for $800 or $850 US shipped. What a bargain at that price considering the immaculate condition.

The reason I'm flogging my Blue MX is to fund the purchase of a semi, so a Session or a Rainbow would definitely give me a tingly feeling right now Laughing Laughing
