Nope, too slow meself Barry. Can't keep up Smile

Will add some high gloss lacquer soon. Then a bit of hardware.............might add pull/push tone knobs to coil tap as the switch is gone( the hole is still there but covered with veneer) would make things a bit lively, as you can mix when both pups are on Smile Tap the opposing coils.
Might use a 45 at the bridge and a 22 at the neck clown

Playing about with some hardware.
Any opinions?
MMk 53's with all chrome

MMk 45's with chrome

MMk 45's and all brass

Could also remove the covers from the 53's.
Which do you reckon??

Think you have to stay with a brass/black/creme combo Damian. I'm thinking zebras would be nice on this or even just creme mounting rings on the black pups? Definitely not chrome. Anywhere!

See what you mean about the cream, just don't like cream personally. Goes with the brass though, mmmm!

Added a few coats of lacquer. Will need a good few more and plenty of elbow grease.

It's a shame the brass goes better, because the 53's are absolutely beautiful.

I like both of the last two more than the others (not that I don't like the others!!). Adds a bit of distinction.

Nice!!

I agree with Barry. If both bobbins are to be the same colour then I prefer cream in black surround. I do have to say that the finish is cool enough for any combination. Top job!

I'd like to see the black surrounds with zebra bobbins... would you photo that for us?

If you don't have zebra, then I'd do a +3 for the black surrounds with cream bobbins.
