I was there when they were ripping out the seats at the Odeon New Street Birmingham,
to make room to rock to Bill Haley & his Comets, Rock around the clock movie.
Not much changed there then
I had a diet of 1950's 78's, Little Richard, The King, Chubby Checker, Tommy Steel, Lonnie Donegan etc.
Even enjoyed my Dad's 78's of Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller etc.
ah those were the days
You young fellers dunno your born
Late 70's early 80's Huge Cassette Boom Boxes that really annoyed people.
Music played on Mobile Phones that sound like a bee in a box that really annoys people.
Patches on worn out jeans.
Pre-worn out new jeans!
Cheap Japanese guitars.
Even Cheaper Chinese guitars.
Expensive guitars that had aged naturally.
Expensive guitars that have been aged unnaturally.

Still, if it weren't for that little guitar, I wouldn't be the guitarist I am today.
My next guitar after that (yes, we had one guitar at a time in those days!) was a nutural ash Antoria Strat (mid to late 70's) and it was a BEAUTY! I still have the body but the rest is long gone, sadly.
