I dunno, young kids of today Sad

I was there when they were ripping out the seats at the Odeon New Street Birmingham,
to make room to rock to Bill Haley & his Comets, Rock around the clock movie.

Not much changed there then What a Face

I had a diet of 1950's 78's, Little Richard, The King, Chubby Checker, Tommy Steel, Lonnie Donegan etc.

Even enjoyed my Dad's 78's of Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller etc.
ah those were the days Very Happy

Happy Days... my first guitar was a Columbus Les Paul. I loved that thing. I remember how gutted I was to find that the 'humbuckers' were actual single-coils in chrome humbucker surrounds! I felt so cheated.

Still, if it weren't for that little guitar, I wouldn't be the guitarist I am today.

My next guitar after that (yes, we had one guitar at a time in those days!) was a nutural ash Antoria Strat (mid to late 70's) and it was a BEAUTY! I still have the body but the rest is long gone, sadly.
