They are a primo piece of kit alright and probably worth every penny of that 1200 buck starting price...

Superb pieces of the luthiers art.

There's a dream guitar right there. Definitely worth the asking price. I'm tempted. Wasn't planning on spending 12 bones a guitar today though. Buying through Craiglist when I can't physically pick it up makes me nervous. Probably have to have it sent COD. Don't think I trust sending $1200 down there and then waiting for the guitar to show up, with no back up of it being a business or ebay or the like. Anyone else out there have this quandary with a instrument found on Craiglist, that wasn't within distance of picking up?

Nope. But that's kind of the point of CL...local sellers and buyers.

But my God! Is that not the sexiest thing ever seen in six strings!? bounce

Happens to me quite often. Sometimes the seller is willing to work with you and sometimes you have zero chance. I have picked up several off CL in the last year and only once had someone local to the area available to meet the seller for cash to change hands as the guitar does. If you ask lots of questions, get lots of pictures, get a phone number and actually speak to the seller you stand a much better chance for getting peace of mind if you do pull the trigger.

Since we are on the subject...

Just heard from the seller. Sold! Damn! I would've sprang for that. Today.

Believe it or not I think that was a bargain @$1200.

On ebay my guess is it goes for around $2000, possibly more.

To see that guitar that clean.

Damn!

Can you tell I'm disappointed?
