Easter 2012....

Post by corsair on Sun Apr 08, 2012 10:29 am

... Here in Australia was a blast! I got together with a mate and got to play some of the Uncles finest...

See how many of this small selection you recognise....

Ain't I a lucky bastid? And one of those came home with me....

nice collection... you really do live way out in Austrailia, don't you... look at that truck... you have three or four river crossings each way on the way to work? Shocked

far left, looks like a spectrum but i've never seen one with a pickguard or a neck pickup like that... Does it have a tremolo/ floating bridge? Electra maybe?

Nice that you have so many stands... i have mine all propped up on amps and stuff.

Those two are Vantage Avengers. Very Spectrum-like. Great little workhorse players.

Figured as much. Made by the same company. Must not have been all the way awake... i was thinking i was looking at a bass. Is it really long scale or is it just the one next to it that's really short?

Now that thunder II looks really out of place.... lol

Excellent shot! I recognized the Avengers and the hollowbody is the dreamy VSH455, and i'm pretty sure the 12 string is also Vantage. In fact, they all look like Vantages except perhaps an Aria in there?

Which one did ya get ya lucky bastid?

Rush shirt to eh- New Rush album will be out on May 29th. Early reviews say it sounds like old Rush with odd meters and 7+ minute long songs - oh yeah

Apart from the impressive flock of Vantages... Is it an old Aria LP?

Sorry, fellas... This was taken outside of Roma in south western Queensland at the home of a good friend, not at my gaff! And the temperature the day before at 11am was 38°.....

Left to right, Vantage Avenger AV315, Avenger AV310, APII LC 440, Vantage VSH 445, Vantage VA 900B, Vantage VA 912 and Vantage VA 900. The build and sound quality of those last three are outrageous, just stunning; everyone should try them at some stage in their lives!! Laughing
