Daion Power Mark XX

Post by METESKY on Tue Oct 30, 2012 4:25 pm

I just picked one of these up today (yes, pictures are forthcoming) in what, at first blush, looks to be in excellent condition. Has anybody here had any experience with this brand? I was aware of them, but I'd never seen one before. Very nice wine red sandwich with a maple insert.

Oh...THAT kind of info. lol

I was curious to know when they stopped production, and if the usual dating from serial number method applies.

Might consider a trade on down the line... ;-) I don't intend to keep it.

Never played one, but they look like a quality guitar, and are usually pretty pricey. I keep an eye out for them, waiting for one that is reasonable - would love to try one out.

A few of the boyz at the Mats forum have Daion's and they are just superb instruments.
Great score! Congrats.

Sounds like you've had some experience with these. This is the first one I've seen up close. What do you know about them?

... and how long is a barge pole? ;-)

Yeah, I'm going to turn it after a while. Previous owner replaced the pickups but the originals are in the OHSC. Have to say I've never seen humbuckers with three adjustment screws. Weird looking things...

The neck kind of reminds me of a bowling alley floor. ;-)
