To be honest Ice, I logged in and when I saw how many times that you posted, I got completely overwhelmed and just logged off.

I am going to throw down a challlenge to you as it is drinking night.

You know how you and I usually turn sensible posts into complete rubbish?

Well, the challenge is to turn this rubbish post into a good Westone thread, with lots of members chiming in enthusiastically.

I know that personally, I am not up to the challenge but I reckon that with the help of my big Kraut/Yank/Scots bro we can turn it around.

Over to you, Ice

All I was hinting at was that Graham was dangerously close to being knighted Sir Postman the other day for his obvious lack of effort.

However the recent title he has had bestowed upon him will suffice... for the moment. Look Over There

Ever the gourmand, eh Graham? Laughing

In point if fact those are wings that have been deep-sixed in 380° peanut oil and then seasoned with a secret blend of spices bourne out of decades of hit or miss (mostly miss the first several years) experimentation.

That sauce that you have so abashedly sullied Evil or Very Mad is in fact the finest homemade curried cashew satia you should be so lucky to have pass over your palate once in a lifetime.

I passed on the ketupat as the larder was found wanting for kalijira.... Puppy Eyes ...and before you pipe in again, yes... I know basmati can be a serviceable substitute in a pinch but I was in no mood to compromise yesterday.

How was your Saturday, then? Stick Out Tongue

I did well yesterday, Ice. I sold a guitar that I had bought to flip and made a great profit in just 6 days of ownership. The guy paid cash on collection so no Ebay fees.

So I have filled my GAS tank and I am on the prowl for more guitars. I did buy a Washburn WP-80 Les Paul project today, but there is more to come.

PS I recently finished my new Melody Maker project and it is a little beast.

PPS I made a pot of Pea and Ham soup.

I knew that you would go all "Diva" on us when we tried to goad you into revealing the fairy cake recipe.

In fact I said to Ice, "Ice, its no use, he'll just go all Diva on us if we try to get the fairy cake recipe"

And Ice replied, "Too right Hoax, just like a big fat assed JayLo."

I will offer you a fair exchange, the recipe for both Ice's Chicken with watery sh!t dip; and my Pea and Ham soup.
Can't say fairer than that.

Recipe for peanut-sauce Indonesian style from a classic Indonesian cookbook by Bep Vuyk. Goes very well with Nasi Goreng (fried rice)

2 shalots (or 1 small onion),
2 cloves of garlic,
1 tsp sambal trassi (or shrimp paste and sambal oelek),
2 tsp ground corianderseeds (ketumbar),
1 tsp ground cumin seeds (djinten),
1 tsp dried laos,
1 tsp turmeric,
6 kemiri nuts,
1 tsp gula djawa (or sugar)

Fry the spice paste until fragrant.
Add ¼ block santen (coconut), 1 daun salam leave, 1 lime leave), 1 stalk of lemon grass, and 500 ml water. Bring to the boil and dissolve the santen. Let shimmer and stir.

This is the real thing! No preprocessed poop with chemicals out of a jar. Personaly I leave the trassi or shrimp paste out not just because of it's awful smell but because I'm a long time vegetarian. I love the Indonesian kitchen!

Don't suppose you have a fairy cake recipe. Corsair has become a proper little madame and won't tell.

And it's no use asking Ice as he just makes it up as he goes along. I mean who else but Ice would serve chicken with plated plop.

...breathe, just some nice deep even breaths.... that's the key, keep breathing...

Oh it's no use.... Angry 2 Angry Angry 2 Angry Angry 2 Angry Angry 2

Now then calmly and collected ... it is not plop, poop nor even watery $#!£€ dip, and it most definitely didn't come out of a jar, can or even was pinched from someone's cookbook, JAMES... Face Palm Face Palm

And as far as John's secret cake, there's really nothing for it.. You just have to remember to stir the batter counterclockwise as it originated, well....... down under, so to speak. Naughty
