German Westone Guitars Information

I wasn't sure which forum to drop this information into so it ended up here. Neutral

We seem to be getting a lot of inquiries from new members asking about their recently obtained "Westones". In many cases they are instruments produced either during the "German" period or some oddball models made in China, owner unknown.

A recent search through the Internet Wayback Machine yielded some tombstone information on the German offerings although the information was incomplete and spotty. For a short time, roughly late 2010 to early 2012, the Westone brand was revived by a German company, Musik-Meyer, which is still in business but no longer selling Westone guitars:

The products in no way resembled the MIJ Mats or MIK post-Mats models, but instead were yet more copies of traditional guitar configurations. Best guess is that they were likely made in China but under relatively good quality control.

Here is a summary of what I was able to find. Unfortunately there are only pictures and detailed information on the ST (strat) model. Everything else is minimal info, but I hope it will help some. Info taken from the www.westone-guitars.com archived site December 30 2011 (last record) on the Internet Wayback machine
