Forgive me Father Mats...

Post by Barry on Mon May 27, 2013 9:02 pm

...for I hath sin-ed. Twisted Evil

After noodling on my "new" Westone X125 I did forsake it for my Epiphone Studio with stupidly hot humbuckers.
And I did play it.
And the rafters did ring, yay unto the shingles.
And I did like it! What a Face

Forgive me for I like Brother Barry have strayed from the path of enlightenment an coveted and Caressed other axes of different makes many many times..

Though i do return an partake in the ritual plucking of highish gain with higher volume I will not try to stray too often nor too far away from those i cherish most...

I must go an birch myself of these demons before they take my mortal soul or i buy encore guitar because it was described as rare or unique on Ebay.... Cry Sad Cry Sad

Forgive me father Mats because the guitar in my home office is a Hagstrom F200 with stupidly heavy gauge flat-wound strings. I play it muchly but only to strengthen my hands - honest - and never plugged in.

Forgive me, o Father Mats for I have gazed covetously upon the form of thy American competitor. I further must confess to fondling the shapely bodyhorns and deeply curvaceous cutaways, and and admiring our saintly Leo's forethought and imagination.

Then I slapped on a Spectrum and rattled the farking windows!!

Alright, seeing as how I am an actual Pastor, I shall take it upon myself to chastise you all. Razz

From the Book of Mats. Chapter 19, verses 82-87.

82: Verily I sayeth unto thee, thou shalt reap the consequences of thine actions. Mad

83: A mighty smiting shall cometh upon thee quickly, and none shall withstand its strong, strumming hand (and you know that the strumming hand is the stonger of the two).

84: Yay, the smiting shall be most terrible until thine strings be broken asunder! Weeping shall be heard from Canada to Wales to psuedo-Scotland, reaching even to Hervey Bay, Austrailia will wailing fill the air!

85: Starting with thy high E, a snap shall be heard! And this is just the beginning of sorrows.

86: With great haste the snappage spreadeth quickly to the B, even to the unwound G and verily thy D shall be judged with destruction. Of a truth I tell thee, not even thine A string shall be spared! Save only the E string shall remain, for that one is particularly tough to breaketh into peices...

87: Put away from you your evil ways! Fingers that plucketh strange strings, hands long for foreign necks, ears that lust after forbidden pickups. Brethren, these things should never be!

I've been wayward lately with my Carvin and Vandenberg.

I feel so... dirty... just can't get clean! The water won't get hot enough!

Saying that though, I've been playing the Dynasty and Electra X935 a lot too.

Those "boomerang" double humbuckers have the distinction of having once been described as "nutsack pups"... Embarassed
