Poll Westone Thunder II bass with XLR

Post by mosherj on Wed Oct 30, 2013 6:55 pm

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some info about my old Westone Thunder II. I'm positive on the date, November 1981, as the serial is 1110611.
It's the early 24 fret bass but it has the XLR instead of the usual 6.5mm jack. What little info I can find suggests that there may only be two known examples of this model with the optional XLR.
Ive had it since 1987 and it was my first bass. it gets played daily and will go to the grave with me. If anyone can shed a bit of light on this, I would be eternally grateful.
Lee..

Hi mosherj, and welcome.
You'll find more info on our web site HERE (scroll down)
Do a search for more info if any, particularly catalogue scans. Apparently, the XLR was an option.
