'Butterscotch' Blonde in Miniature

Post by Meadows on Sun Jan 12, 2014 3:52 am

A good mate of mine turns 60 this week and has survived 40 years in the business as a working guitarist....he always pined after getting an original 1950's 'Butterscotch' Blonde Fender tele but to date this has not happened.

I couldn't afford an original but managed to find this hand made miniature complete with stand and a 'Peavey classic 20' amp. Made by an amateur model maker and hobbiest prior to his emigration "downunder", the guitar is 6" (15cm) in length and the materials are all authentic wood, metal and cream coloured vinyl canvas on the amp.

Hopefully this will inspire him to fulfil his dream rig Smile

Really nicely done. Any Tele player would love that.

Apparently he also made other rigs including various Gibsons and Hofners with classic amps, Vox AC30 and Twin Reverbs etc. His attention to detail working on this scale is amazing, I should think he was probably a player given the obvious passion his work exudes. Very Happy
