NGD, and a guessing game;-)

Post by Sollophonic on Mon May 05, 2014 6:00 pm

I play in a band who often get booked to play more lighthearted gigs, like fancy dress parties and similar, and I have been on the lookout for a guitar I can use in these situations, that plays and sounds OK, is comfy to play and looks outlandish.

I had a good Explorer copy for this purpose, but it is so damn heavy, 2 hour sets were hard work.

So I finally found something, so I thought I'd play a bit of a guessing game with y'all.

Guess what I got, and I'll post up a pic.

Clues;- Its not a Westone
Its not my usual guitar of choice, a Tele
Its pushes the boundaries of "taste" in some folks opinions.
Its not a pointy, headless or one in a shape of something like an axe or a shark, etc

Get guessing......;-)

Hey you folks are quick, it took 20 or so guesses on the TDPRI!!!

Put a hotter pickup in it the other day, and wired it to a push pull for a few more tones.

Plays and sounds pretty good, to be honest.

With the strap as well !

I understand that these are *very* collectable especially if you have all the accessories.
