Notice anything on these
Notice anything on these
Notice anything different on these six stringers??? Not between the two, as they're the same.

Re: Notice anything on these
Not sure - something to do with the bridge? No fixing points/screws on the front corners?
Talking of bridges, what's going on with the one on the bass? It's not a type I remember seeing before & seems much closer to the edge of the body than usual.

OK Damian, time to reveal!
I've studied these pics along with my own T1 and other than Punkyjam's point about no front corner fixing posts I see nothing out of the ordinary.

Check this out.
Here's the bog 'standard' bridge.

and the one with no corner screws

'standard' saddles

'no screws' saddles

Quite a difference in the string spacing.

Top sleuthing Vimes, at least we know what it is! Certainly a quality item.Sgt. Vimes wrote:also Re: the bass bridge, does that back piece screw into the body? or is it some kind of screw-down clamp?

Re: Notice anything on these
So.... is that 'no corner screw' bridge an original fitting, do you reckon?

Re: Notice anything on these
Ah, OK... so the early guitars had this narrow bridge? Is the string width at the nut the same for late and early models?

Re: Notice anything on these
Haven't got them to hand at the moment but will check.
Thunder necks do measure 43.5 at the nut though. Including lacquer.
