Paduak 1 ont' bay

Post by bobroberts on Wed Jul 16, 2014 1:40 pm

Looking at this ont' bay. Never played one... What are the necks like on these? Only other Westy experience is a T1a - how would they compare, please?

Ta!

Slightly longer neck than a Thunder, same length as Spectrum, Concord and Pantera so wider reach between frets at bottom end, fast though.  I bought one off a buddy back in the 80s and it's still my fave - been refretted twice in 90s and 00s and as straight as the day I bought it.

Paduak is 25 1/2" scale.

Thunder I, Thunder II's 24 3/4"

Theyre lighter than thunders as I recall. Nice to play.

If they are the same as the early concords then they will be pretty damn good.
