Thunder brass knobs - spec

Post by Dan63uk on Wed Jul 30, 2014 9:42 am

My old Thunder has cheap replacement knobs that look smaller than those I've seen in original adverts.

Can anyone help me with the external diameter and height of the original brass Vol/Tone knobs?

Hi Dan.
The external diameter is 22mm and the height is 14mm. Knurled brass.

Thanks Clive.

If you have trouble finding original replacements (likely) you can have a look at these reproductions: LINK
They're not exact but, OK for most folks.

These are other options with the same, or at lease nearly identical dimensions:

GRETSCH KNOB

BRIMAL ALUMINIUM

also there are these, though I'm not sure of the exact dimensions, pretty close I'd assume.

#8001B Fender

I've used the first 2 happily.

The more folks want the cheaper they get.

Setting up for 1/2 a dozen just isn't worth it.

They would have to be concrete orders no "well, maybe, don't need them now" crap...Laughing
