Prestige 227

Post by PeteL on Fri Mar 27, 2015 7:15 am

Morning all. New boy here. Just found a Westone Prestige 227 loafing in my son's bedroom. It's looking a little unloved and needs a clean, finger board needs wire wooling, new strings and is missing a control knob. If I spruce it up and get it working, what can I expect from the sound, playability etc. I.e. Is it worth me spending the time to get it going again?

Might quite like to keep it and play it, but thanks for the offer. What can I expect from the guitar once tidied up. Nice player?

All depends how it's set up and which pups you have in there.

Decent quality guitar.

Certainly wouldn't wire wool the 'board. Just soapy water and an old toothbrush then some oil.

Ok, thanks for the advice. Can I send you a picture for advice on pickups? Can I do this via the forum?

From the link you sent, it's the red burst 227 with the super twin II pickups. Tremolo arm and one knob missing!
