Poorly Aria

Hi all
Iv'e been asked about restoring this molested guitar by a colleague at work.




I believe this to be one of uncle matts and from the serial no. it looks like a 1980 model, Anyone know any more? what was the original config pups wise?

Ooooh; most probably 3 x s/cs would have been the go, but there's not a hell of a lot known about 'em...

Have a browse through http://www.matsumoku.org/guitars.html and see what you can find... that plate may well be hiding a litany of horrors, though, eh!!

thanks for that, iv'e already checked them but no match,

under the covers (from what i can tell with out removing them) it looks like some chisel work has gone on but only minor to squeeze the HB in. though with a good scratchplate no one will ever know Smile

my major worries are a couple of paint cracks around the neck joint, the screws hold the trem on may snap if i lean on them too hard and the 'plates' are held on with oversize screws in odd places so filling and touch up required.
